Fast for visitors, careful with your site.

  • On Apache and LiteSpeed, rules at the top of .htaccess send cached pages without PHP
  • Elsewhere, such as nginx, a small advanced-cache.php sends them before WordPress loads
  • Your .htaccess is backed up first, ready to download
  • Turning it on checks your homepage from your server, and takes everything out again if it doesn’t answer normally
  • Turning it off removes the rules, the file, the line it added and the saved pages

  • On SiteGround, LiteSpeed, WP Engine, Kinsta or Cloudways, your host’s cache stays the default, and you can choose Arva SEO’s instead

Is the page cache free?

Yes. Pages are cached on your own server, so page caching is free on every plan and works without an Arva SEO account.

Does it work with WooCommerce?

Yes. Carts, checkouts and account pages are never cached, and neither is any page for a visitor with something in their cart.

What if my host already caches pages?

On SiteGround, LiteSpeed, WP Engine, Kinsta or Cloudways, the card shows Done by your host and leaves it to them. If you prefer Arva SEO’s cache, choose it and the card says how to turn the host’s off, so pages aren’t cached twice.

How do I clear the cache?

Choose Clear the cache on the Page caching card, or in the toolbar on your site. With Cloudflare connected, its copy is cleared too.

What happens if I turn it off or deactivate the plugin?

The rules it added to .htaccess, the advanced-cache.php file, the line in wp-config.php and the saved pages are all removed.
