What it is
ArvaSEO-Bot checks websites for the people who manage them: it reads pages to find SEO issues such as broken links, missing titles and slow pages. It identifies itself with this user agent:
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; ArvaSEO-Bot/1.0; +https://arvaseo.com/bot)
How it behaves
- It crawls a website only when one of our customers has verified they control it, or, for a short sample audit, to check a small number of public pages.
- It follows robots.txt, including any
Crawl-delay, and pauses between pages. - It only opens pages on the website being checked. It notes links to other websites but never follows or opens them.
- It never logs in, submits forms, or reaches private network addresses.
How to block or slow it
Add this to your robots.txt to stop ArvaSEO-Bot crawling your website:
User-agent: ArvaSEO-Bot
Disallow: /Or slow it down with Crawl-delay: 5 (seconds between pages) in the same group.
